I'm not sure if i'm going to try to get a used camera to save money or wait for future shop to have a sale... I'm stoked to get into it this summer though! thanks for the advice :D

If you’re going for a cheaper option i would say buy a D3000 (compared to D3100 for nikon) …i own a D3000 and it works perfect. Its just an older model of D3100 same features… I’ll probably soon post my photography on a this as well!…i’ll let u know when i get around doing that!

So atlast…..

The moment comes when India as a nation goes to celebration…days of joy and celebration covers india and all credit to the World Cup winning team!…….

Although Sri-Lanka put up a good fight with a daunting total in excess of 270.

I can only imagine the immense pressure playing at a venue like Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) and chasing a target of 270+ on a pitch like Wankhede Stadium.

All credit goes to the Team India for keeping it cool and handling the pressure very well.

I saw every single minute of the game from the start to the finish. thats 4:30AM-2:00PM. (Yes you can say i am one of those dedicated fan!) But to be honest it was worth every second to stay up and watch the game!

Journey for India from last world cup to this has been quite glorious. Although not so much in 2007 world cup but no one will remember that after 2011’s world-cup winning performance.

And India Wins…………..first in 1983 and again in 2011 (28 years later).

With this India tops the charts of cricket in both Test and One-Day International formats.

A BIG congratulations to Team India and thank you for entertaining me as one of your biggest fans!

The World-Cup Final!

Alright…so as the name suggests,

the cricket world cup sadly comes to an end in about 12 hours from now. It has been exciting journey for me from the start till finish. 

Most exciting part about it is that its India versus Sri-Lanka in final. 

For all those reading this and not know about cricket. I’ll give you a crash course on cricket.

Its similar to baseball in basics. But not in rules and the structure of the game.

2 batsmen, each on either end of the wicket (three sticks on each side of the pitch)

fielding team plays 11 players on field. One is the bowler (similar to pitcher in baseball) and one stays behind the three sticks.

and when the 2 batsman exchange the “wickets” it is 1 run. there are 2,3s that you can run. and then there is something called “boundry” which means 4 runs and a “six” meaning (home run in baseball) 6 runs in 1 ball.

so now that you know basics of it. Let me start by saying that its one of the MOST HYPED game in countries like India, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh, england, australia, new-zealand and west-indies to name a few.

India is who I am rooting for! You dont need to know cricket to know the fan base following India and to be specific one particular player. He goes by the name of Sachin Tendulkar. Carries near god-like status in India and holds nearly every batting record theres to have.

Think of Micheal Jordan, LeBron James, Coby and many great basketball players put together and you can begin to have an idea of Sachin Tendulkar and Cricket. 

I will be stuck to my television set today for the most awaited moment in history of cricket- The World Cup Final! India vs. Sri-Lanka. It will be great to see who carries the world cup 2011!

To give you an idea- India holds one world-cup to date, which was in 1983. 

Sri-lanka also carries a world-cup in year 1996.

So, Thats it for now. I intended this for people new to the game and give them a little overview of the game and current status and some key facts! 

Now, ofcourse cricket is way bigger than two nations that are in final. But in this post I will only cover two teams in lime-light…or atleast till the winner of the world-cup 2011 is decided!
